Sometimes things just don’t go according to plan, do they? I had tickets to contemporary design fair Object Rotterdam (on a cruise ship!) but unfortunately at the last moment I couldn’t attend. I was really looking forward to it but then I thought: you know what, let focus on the positive here. It had been snowing suddenly and the garden looked amazing!

So I snapped a few photos with my iPhone on Saturday to share with you. As I’m typing this, the sun has finally come out and temperatures are said to go up quite a bit in the next few days. No more freezing cold!

Winter is fine and beautiful and all that, but seriously I could do with some Spring weather right about now. Can’t wait to see what pops up in the garden, either. As we moved here only 3.5 months ago, it could be anything!

These guys are actually yellow when in full flower, which is not my absolute favorite colour for the garden but I’m keeping them anyway because their winter seed heads are so beautiful. The Hydrangea in the first photo is probably pink, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a soft pink ;)

If you’d like to see more photos from my garden and where I live as well as contributor photos, come and follow visualstrands on Instagram too. And if you’re curious about Object Rotterdam, just look for #objectrotterdam.
