Back with another installment of Green Walk Amsterdam photos! If you missed the previous two posts, go here:
Shop visit: Wildernis Amsterdam and
Green Walk Amsterdam part 1.
Today, I wanted to show you a different perspective on Green in the city. I took some photos during our Green Walk, which aren’t exactly your run of the mill stylish green promo photos, ha. Come walk with me! First, a little closeup of the plants in the window on the featured photo:
These stems are amazing:
And of course real life plants aren’t the only green-related things to be found in windows, look at this art piece:
Amsterdam even has plants on old street lanterns…
And beautiful tiles like these can be found all across the old part of town:
Remember the planted up bath tub in Green Walk Amsterdam part 1? The owners of this house planted up everything but the kitchen sink… um actually, that too.
Old dust bins can be useful for ‘growing your own’ (and as you can see, they need serious protecting ;)):
And if you can’t plant it, paint it!
Did I mention I love dried plants?
Plants and shop fronts are also a magical combination, especially in Amsterdam (which is also famous for its cats in windows. Note to self: go back and do a post about that)! I mean, where else can you find an ‘Amazing Beauty Boudoir’ like this?
Or an eyewear shop with a missing letter:
A shop named ‘I like stationery’… Shop names and green is also a winning combo, right?
Speaking of which (look to the right):
No words needed:
Wonderfully minimalist:
This is just Amsterdam to the core: smoothies, juices, coffee and cosmetics… because why stick to just one thing:
Have a great weekend guys, and keep exploring!
