Another fun topic for this month’s Urban Jungle Bloggers: Jungle Animals! Now I didn’t want to go completely mad (and buy palm trees, or a tiger) so I just added a few of my vintage animal bits and bobs. And framed a jungle image. More about that further on.
Vintage things with animals on them is something I just can’t resist. Like this paper mache box (I have several) and bird pot. Love. The green wooden bird in the previous photo came from a tropical market here in the Netherlands, I’ve had it since childhood.
Beautiful, right? I think they are originally made in India.
Oh yes, the image. I saved it from an old (Dutch) Elle Decoration and it’s actually an image of wallpaper. How amazing would that look on an entire wall! I don’t recall what brand it was. If you do, please share!
Something I just realised, my very first Urban Jungle Bloggers contribution (back in 2013!) was also with a ‘wild’ animal: our very own cat Minky the Grey starred in it, look:
Um yeah, please don’t ask me about that orchid ;) The post was on my previous blog called Mouseblossom.

Hmmm yes I don’t believe that Minky the Grey would like a wild tiger as a house mate;) Some lovely vintage objects and ceramics. What is the plant on the top left? I’ve never seen it before, I love the leaves! M xx
Ha, no I don’t think she would. Thank you. It’s Phlebodium Aur. ‘Blue star’. I bought it as a tiny plant. See: http://mouseblossom.nl/babble/urban-jungle-bloggers-1-plant-3-stylings/ xx
What is that plant in the top left?
It’s Phlebodium Aur. ‘Blue star’.
Thank you! I purchased one yesterday, and of course it had no tag.
Beutiful collection, love it!
Thank you!
What a fun theme, right?
