When you work alone, sometimes it’s hard to get inspired and motivated or even learn new skills. Especially at the beginning of a new year, right? Or maybe you’d like to be part of a new (like-minded) community. I’ve tried a few e-courses in the past and if your budget – like mine – doesn’t stretch very far, I know this can be an issue. Especially when you’re looking for a little more in-depth learning. I may just have found the place for you.
Learn new skills anyway!
Most of you may already know Skillshare but if you don’t, I really recommend that you check it out. And no, this is not a sponsored post. I’m genuinely excited about it. Learning new skills doesn’t have take up much time, you can do it whenever you like and for how long a time you want.
Just give yourself fifteen minutes every day for your education / to get inspired. You will not regret it. Do it instead of scrolling through your social media feeds or when commuting. You have that ‘extra’ time.
Here’s how they put it at Skillshare:
“We started Skillshare to close the professional skills gap and provide universal access to high-quality learning. By teaching the skills needed in tomorrow’s world, Skillshare empowers creators to pursue the work they love today.”
So there.
There are a lot of classes (over 14,000!) available at Skillshare, from design to marketing, illustration, social media, photography, flower arranging, web development etc. and they’re all presented in bitesize video bits. Send in student projects, or not. Be active within the community, or not. Or even become a teacher yourself. It’s all up to you. No deadlines, no pressure. You are going to have so much fun with this, trust me.
Skillshare Premium Membership discount
Skillshare now has a very special offer: 3 months of Premium Membership for $0.99! That’s seriously good value. In know, because I tried it myself. And then I decided to gift myself an annual subscription because it’s so good.
Skillshare also offers free classes. Maybe you prefer checking those out first, but really, don’t miss out on this offer to get acces to the Premium classes as well. They’re really good. Their annual subscription is also very reasonable, especially compared to other courses. You get a lot for your money. Personally I’m interested in lots of different things and to have unlimited access to classes covering so many different topics is just wonderful.
At the moment, Skillshare offers a few discount options:
1. Go to Skillshare and sign up for access to the free classes.
2. Go to Skillshare and sign up for 1 month Premium for free.
3. Use my personal link below. That way you get 3 months of Premium Membership for only $0.99 and I earn a free month for each friend who signs up at Skillshare. See it as a little thank you for helping you find this place (and that discount ;)). And thank you.
