Welcome to ISSUE 3: Portland based Cathy McMurray‘s beautiful mountain inspired art | Geologist/writer/illustrator Ruth Allen muses over her ‘low mountains’ in the UK | Sydney based floral stylist and DIY addict Helen Hung made a mountain print DIY | Featured: fab clothing from The Level Collective | Extra: more inspiring mountain women links from around the internet.

A Dutch girl myself, I’ve only been to the mountains once. I took these two photos during a trip though Austria and Switzerland. This was before digital photography *coughs* so imagine my relief when they turned out right.
For some reason I didn’t feel nervous standing on those tall mountains, as they’re so grounded in the earth. They evoke a sense of adventure.
I wanted to feature women from different parts of the world who are all inspired by mountains.
If you guys are thinking: “Hey, what about mountain men?” Get in touch!
Enjoy! – Yvonne.
